The Parks Room

The Parks Room pays tribute to Metroparks and William Stinchcomb who conceived the idea of an outer chain of parks with connecting boulevards. Stinchcomb’s genius was to anticipate the future need for open space at a time when Cuyahoga County outside of Cleveland was still largely rural. With over 18 reservations spanning more than 25,000 acres including more than 325 miles of trails, nine golf courses, eight lakefront parks and a nationally-acclaimed zoo.
